There is no racism in China

When I was in China, I was told repeatedly by my Han students that there is no racism in China.  They believed this.  They had no reason to think otherwise; the press doesn't report racism, therefore it doesn't exist.  You can't believe something you don't know about. 

And so when I read the following article, Chinese Nationalism Fuels Tibet Crackdown in the New York Times, I was not surprised.  Please go to this link.  The story is accurate to my experience.
