When it was still good.

You can see we enjoyed our block parties.  We are happy here, relieved to be together, excited to think we can be a community.  We did it right, blocked off our street, grilled, got a fire truck there for the kids.  I have no doubt, we all wanted to be a community, we wanted to live in harmony.

A lot of the families had kids and mothers and fathers wanted their kids to be safe.  The kids wanted to play outside.

It was a street lined with old trees, the leaves met overhead.  It was lush, old Minneapolis.
